Auto immune Disease

These are set of liver disease which happen when an individuals own immune system starts attacking ones own liver/other organs. These are slowly progressing diseases and takes years to present. A detailed work up for auto immune markers are done. The treatment is decided depending on the work up.

Fulminant Hepatic Failure

This is a rapidly developing liver failure due to various causes. These individuals rapidly develop jaundice, coagulopathy (bleeding tendency) along with altered level of consciousness. These set of individuals need to be admitted to ICU urgently. comprehensive evaluation is done and medical management is initiated urgently. Such individuals may need an Urgent Liver Transplant as a life saving measure
